Inga Gehrke

CV

Inga Gehrke (M.Sc.) is a PhD candidate at the Institute for Textile Technology of the RWTH Aachen University. Her research covers the development and production process of smart textiles as well as the digital transformation of production systems. She studied industrial engineering at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (Germany), the Virginia Tech (USA) and the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (Spain). With her industry experience as a consultant focusing on the application of Industry 4.0 in manufacturing and supply chain management, she combines a methodological and practical view on smart textiles and production systems. The presented research was developed during the project “GeniusTex” (funded by the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy) together with Magnus Knuth and Dr. Sebastian Tramp of the eccenca GmbH and Urs Riedlinger and Sabine Kolvenbach of the Fraunhofer FIT.
