Markus Ackermann

CV

I am a research engineer that currently is working on large-scale semantic information management and integration to further the efforts of the DBpedia Association. Additionally, I also carry a strong interest in Natual Language Processing (lately in particular in Computational Morphology and Named Entity Recognition). Technologically, I am a strong proponent of functional and object-functional approaches of software design (e.g. Scala). During my MSc studies and thereafter, I also got increasingly involved in Linked  Data and Semantic Web Technologies while contributing in various ways to the DBpedia project.
